Beef and ale Stew (Slowcooker)

Ingredients

  • 3 bay leaves

  • 500g stewing beef

  • 500 ml Guiness/Stout

  • 4 celery sticks

  • 2 medium onions

  • 2 carrots

  • Olive oil

  • 1 heaped tablespoon of flour

  • 400g tin chopped tomatoes

  • Salt and black pepper

How to cook

  • Roughly chop celery and onions

  • Slice carrots lengthways and roughly chop

  • Put in slow cooker with 2 'glugs' of olive oil and fry for 10 min

  • add meat, flour, beer and toms

  • leave to cook for approx 6 hours or more
