Yellow Five Bean Rice
Ingredients
-
3/4 cup (150 ml) of basmati or jasmine rice

1 teaspoon of turmeric
-
1 1/2 cup (300 ml) water
-
1 can of bean salad (in brine or water)
-
splash of lemon juice
How to cook
-
Put the dry rice in a saucepan and mix with the turmeric powder.

Add the water
-
Place on medium heat with lid on saucepan until the water starts to simmer
-
turn down heat until no more water is covering the rice (but still wet)
-
Turn off the heat and add the bean salad to the rice.
-
Replace lid and wait for 10 mins
